Art
My return to the art world has taken a new turn- I've been swapping miniature art works with artists around the world. My art has gone to England, America, France, Canada and Australia so far! So how did I manage that with the postal system?
ATC's
Artist Trading Cards- what are they exactly?
Well, miniature works of art have been around for several centuries now. ATC's are the modern and slightly changed version!
There are only two rules:
1. They must be 2.5 inches by 3.5 inches (portrait or landscape)
2. They must be TRADED not sold (Ones for sale go by another name- ACEO's (Art Cards Editions and Originals)
They can be made from any material- so long as they fit in a small plastic sleeve (of the type to hold sports trading cards)..... so you can get fabric, metal, card, plastic, wood, ceramic, polymer clay, film etc etc! They can be collaged, painted, drawn, embroidered, photographed, digitally altered, felt-penned, pencilled, laminated, sewn, knitted, crotcheted, edible (sugar paste), burnt (pyrography), woven, appliqued, fused (fibers), felted, glued, knotted, macramed, the list is seemingly never-ending!
They can be made by anyone- kids to those who have never left their childhood!
They can be traded in person or through the post.
They can be themed or random- I am collecting boat themed cards.
Soon to come- pictures of some of the cards I have made.....
